First and foremost, we are determined to give you a healthy mouth and maintain your teeth through proper Periodontal diagnosis and treatment.
When teeth have been lost or must be removed, we are able to restore you to proper health and function through Implants. Dental implants serve as artificial roots to which a crown, bridge, or denture can be attached.
Scaling & Root Planing
When bacterial plaque becomes calcified in your mouth and underneath your gums, it is referred to as tartar or calculus. These deposits can cause lead to inflammation that may lead to loss of bone or gums around the teeth. It is removed with dental curettes typically under local anesthesia.
Gum Grafting/Gum Enhancement
When tissue is lost around the teeth, the Periodontist can typically restore that tissue using your own tissue or an acellular dermal matrix provided that your mouth is in a state of health with adequate adjacent bone.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography/I-Cat
In order to provide better treatment and diagnosis to our patients in addition to traditional X-rays, CBCT can provide a 3-D view of your mouth to allow a better determination of the prognosis for your teeth and a more accurate placement of our dental implants to avoid vital structures (nerves, vessels, sinuses, etc.).We use I-Cat and EasyGuide software to better insure that your implants are done correctly. Patients concerned with radiation need not worry as this digital scan can be done with the radiation equivalent of 4 traditional bite-wing radiographs.

Ridge Preservation
Upon the loss of teeth, the bone in your jaw will typically resorb. When a tooth must be removed, we may want to fill that space with bone in order to maintain the amount of bone present. Maintaining your bone can provide a better esthetic result for your eventual prosthesis (Implant, Bridge, Denture, etc.)
In areas where teeth have been previously lost, there may be bone loss that makes implant therapy unachievable at present. Bone grafting/augmentation may restore the resorbed bone to better facilitate implant placement.
Osseous Surgery
Around your teeth where Periodontal Disease may have induced bone loss, bony craters or pockets may have formed that prevent you from keeping your teeth properly maintained. Flap Surgery flattens the bony craters and eliminates the pockets around your teeth so you will have better access to clean and maintain your teeth.
Crown Lengthening (esthetic)
As our teeth erupt in adolescence, the gums and bone are repositioned around the teeth. In some individuals, the tooth fails to fully erupt leaving them with what is commonly referred to as a "Gummy Smile". Esthetic Crown Lengthening uncovers your tooth fully so that your true smile is visible for all to see.
Crown Lengthening (traditional)
As tooth structure is lost to fracture and cavities, less viable foundation is present above the gums and bone on which to place a crown. Crown Lengthening uncovers more tooth so your restorative dentist has a greater foundation to place your crown.
